What exactly is "The Life and Times of Learners?"

Hello! I'm Ben and I've been an educator for over a decade now. For 6.5 years, I was homeschooled and the remaining 5.5 years, I attended a private school. Finally, after attending University for 4 years, I spent a large chunk of my time in the public and charter schools.

Needless, to say, I have seen many sides of education: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...but also the Inspirational.

The reason I'm starting this blog is because I know that the World of Education has become very complicated in the Early 21st Century. I want this blog to be a place where parents, educators, and any lover of learning can consider new angles on the state of education in the U.S. This is a place for us to inspire one another and challenge one another to think of unique solutions in the midst of an otherwise cynical industry.

There is much joy to be found in learning as a post-school adult and I want to share that joy with you. If you want to love learning again...welcome! If you've always loved learning and want to discuss how to share that love with others...welcome! If you're worn down by the tumultuous complications of traditional schooling...welcome!
